Microchurches are small, simple and unique expressions of the church - allowing them to be fluid and creative in their mission, adaptable to their context and set up to care for and empower every person to bring love, truth and justice to the marginalized as they pursue their calling as missionaries. We affirm microchurch as the most basic expression of the church and therefore, our ecclesiology is simple: when believers work together in sincere worship, and genuine community to accomplish a part of the mission of God, they are the church.

Narrative is both decentralized and centralized. It's decentralized in that the microchurches operate as independent, autonomous, God ordained ministries to the city and beyond. While the microchurch is the center and focus of our mission, some centralized ministry is needed in order to better strengthen and equip microchurches to succeed. In these things the microchurches band together as a community of churches - a network - in order to further demonstrate the value of community and to accomplish what they can not individually. This work can be lonely and overwhelming. Working together with some centralized direction a community of microchurches can accomplish more for the kingdom.

If you'd like to learn more about how you can be a part of Narrative with your own ministry or getting involved with a microchurch, we think having coffee with an elder would be a great next step.
